Miamibloco is a percussion- LED movement inspired by Rio’s street blocos and samba schools, built for/by Miami.
We gather in public space to play loud, move together, and turn rhythm into connection. This is music you step into. No experience needed. No stage between us. Just people learning, playing, and becoming bandmates and dancers.

WHY WE EXIST
In a city divided by access, status, and speed, we slow down and lock into one pulse.
Ages 12 and up.
All identities.
To create local culture.
We forget titles.
We build connection.
We practice joy as resistance.
The street becomes the stage.
The band becomes the bond.
Moment by moment, building a movement.
Celebrating above all
Our shared 305 identity.
Step in.
so,
What is a bloco?
A bloco is a living street orchestra.
Percussion and horns.
Color and movement.
Sound that carries and shapes a neighborhood’s story.
Blocos and samba schools have long been engines of cultural identity in Brazil, and we want this for Miami: part celebration, part school, part joyful protest, always community-powered.
Blocos turn public space into public voice, and drum beats into pride and belonging.
