Miamibloco is an impact driven organization (NPO) currently self-funded, and partially supported by community workshops, event ticket sales and membership fees from the Bateria Saideira group.
We have been partners with Armour Dance Theater summer program since 2017, to offer the kids hands on opportunities to connect to Brazilian and Afrodiasporic cultures. Your support also directly impacts our ability to serve more children and youth through out the year in the future.

At Miamibloco, we believe that belonging is at the heart of community health. Samba, whether experienced in a formal Samba School or an inclusive Bloco, has been shown by social scientists, anthropologists, and, most importantly, by the everyday people involved, to strengthen the resilience and well-being of communities worldwide.
Health in a community extends far beyond affordable housing and reliable transportation; it is deeply rooted in cultivating a sense of love, pride, and connection to the place we call home. This sense of belonging inspires individuals to support one another in meaningful ways that show up in personal and city-wide scales.
Miamibloco offers more than music and dance—we provide a welcoming, creative space where people from all backgrounds and ages can come together to explore new experiences, reduce stress, and rediscover joy through uninhibited play.
