The Bateria Academy Sessions are 6 week courses featuring six weekly in person rehearsals, plus over 7 hours of practice video lessons and context videos to help you gain a solid foundation in samba bloco percussion, and the way Miamibloco works as a community.
Whether you're building on existing skills or starting fresh, this program is designed to expand your abilities.
Hosted at various venues around Miami, the Bateria Academy Intro is your pathway to joining the Miamibloco Bateria Saideira. and an exciting opportunity to practice percussion in a supportive community.
Through this series, you'll not only learn and strengthen your technique, but also deepen your connection to the culture behind the music, while developing the rhythmic skills needed to play in harmony with others in the bloco.

These small in person classes are held in 2 hour blocks Complementary video materials made available weekly BEFORE each in person session for at home study prior to rehearsals.
