In Miamibloco, we believe culture isn’t just something you observe – it’s something we create together. That’s what turns cities into cherished, memorable places. Since 2023, we’ve become a staple of the annual King Mango Strut Parade, transforming the streets into vibrant spaces of joy, connection, and samba, bringing neighbors across Miami and visitors together.​

The three months of rehearsals, the fundraising, and all the effort behind this goal are worth it because people across Miami and beyond step up to be part of something bigger, helping write a new chapter in our city’s story year after year.​

You might think a bloco is just about the drums, but it’s about so much more. The Bateria Saideira brings the rhythm, and it’s the energy of our comunidade, apoio teams, and everyone around us that creates the real magic.​

Miamibloco is often referred to as “The Heartbeat of Miami,” and we know that Living Traditions are kept thriving one beat at a time. 🥁 By parading with Miamibloco, we honor over 40 years of King Mango’s legacy of joy, irreverence, and community. We’re deeply grateful to the King Mango Strut organizers and supporters, who make it possible for anyone to strut and be reminded that we all belong, and that streets are for people, since 1982.​

Our mission at the parade is simple: to give and receive joy through samba and Afro-diasporic rhythms, reminding everyone that Joy is our Birth Right. Building resilience in the 305 means creating spaces where connection thrives—where we greet each other with a smile, say “Hello,” “Buen provecho,” and “Let’s samba!”.​
