Our Community workshops are for everyone! For the curious, and the committed. Workshops, a.k.a oficinas, are the way to get a taste of the basics of playing Afrobrazilian Percussion & Dance.

We’ll teach you the rhythms, the hand signals, the steps, and to share our love for Brazilian percussion and culture, regardless of your musical experience.

We have instruments for you! Just pre-register online and show up on time ready to play!

Community workshops are places to get a first hand experience of Miamibloco: what we are about, how we practice in the Bateria Academy, and Bateria Saideira. We activate spaces for everyone to come dance, vibe out, and make meaningful connections in your community.

Our workshops are intergenerational 10 years old and above. Youth 10 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult during the entirety of the workshop.
