I WANT TO 👁️ MIAMIBLOCO COME BY MY STREET
Huge thanks to Ms. Stephanie Bastos for teaching Afro-Brazilian song and dance to these children at ADT Summer Camp, complimenting Miamibloco percussion classes beautifully.
INFFINITO FILM FESTIVAL : ILÊ AIYÊ + BATERIA SAIDEIRA + FILM SCREENING SHOW DISCOUNT CODE: INFF10
Since November 1st 1974, Ilê Aiyê has been more than a bloco afro—they are a vibrant cultural force from Bahia, Brazil, inspiring millions with their powerful celebration of Afro-Brazilian identity through music, dance, and community. Their chant “Quando Ile Aiye Passar” released the year 10 years later (and also the year I was born) is like a ritual call, uniting citizens of all ages on the sidewalks in joyful anticipation, embodying a shared pulse between city’s community, and artists that we at Miamibloco deeply honor and strive to build here to Miami NOW and for generations to come.
This powerful legacy fuels our drive. We are incredibly grateful and excited for the unique opportunity to open the Ile Aiye show at the Inffinito Film Festival on September 6th, 2025 at the Miami Beach Bandshell—a beautiful merging of worlds, cultures, and hopes.
🙌🏽 🥁 Our own playing is an act of deep gratefulness and reciprocity for all they have given to Brazilians and continue to share around the world.
Miamibloco is a living promise to build and nurture a participatory, organic civic culture: One where the love for art, joy, and community pulses through generations.
In a world where arts funding is threatened, we ask you to stand with us. Together, we protect the right to feel culture in our bodies, to celebrate our stories, and to thrive as whole humans from childhood onward.
✊🏽 Join us and be part of Miamibloco’s effort to defend arts funding for all organizations.✊🏽
Do it for the children. Do it for your inner child.
Do it for the heartbeat of Miami.
