The 4th Annual Miamibloco Saideira Social was historic night that highlighted the rich cultural tapestry of Miami on Saturday May 25th, 2024. Held at the Miami Beach Bandshell, Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira, 57 community-made percussion ensemble, delivered a night of pulsating rhythms and high-energy performances from experimental jazz to rock and roll , deeply steeped in Samba enredo. The first ever participation of 11 exceptional horn players, along Miamibloco’s mesmerizing passistas (samba dancers) added layers of excitement to the show. The enthusiastic audience of over 900 culture lovers of all ages amplified the energy, creating a transcendent cultural experience even through the tropical rain, making it an real homegrown Miami carnaval .
The star-studded lineup featured performances by Rose Max and Ramatis, Munir Hossn, Anemoia, The Lab, Jason Matthews, Aymé Canto, Forró Sweet Jiló, and selections by DJ Kumi. A highlight of the evening was the collaboration with special guest Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez and Bóka Reis from Rio de Janeiro (cultural exchange artist).
The show kicked off once again with the traditional Miamibloco Pagode De Mesa, rooting the night in festive tone. This unique blend of local and international artists showcased Miami's dynamic and eclectic music scene, leaving the audience in awe, earning Miamibloco the 2024 New Times Best of Miami Readers Choice “Best Musical Act” .
With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.

Last and definitely not least, we extend our gratitude to our partner MAGIC 13 BREWERY, where Miamibloco Bateria Saideira hosts weekly rehearsals open to the public during the teaching season. Their support allows us to prepare the music, while throwing free all-ages community parties each Monday night. Their commitment to our journey is deeply appreciated and it’s felt throughout all of Miami.
