OnStage! Featuring Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira with Rum & Coke
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the City of Miami Beach OnStage! with another iteration of a samba percussion orchestra performance by Miamibloco and grooves by Rum & Coke at the Euclid Oval on Lincoln Road.
Kick off the night with a retro Afro-Caribbean dance set hosted by residents DJ Kumi, Harold Fandino, and Jesus Rodriguez from 6-7:30 PM followed by two back-to-back samba performances by Miamibloco at 7:30 and 8:15 PM.
Miamibloco is an intergenerational Afro-Brazilian percussion and dance not-for-profit organization dedicated to using music as a tool for building cultural connection, belonging, and civic pride in Miami.
Rum And Coke is a monthly gathering exploring the expansive sonic palette of the Caribbean and Latin America-via-Africa, with a focus specifically on the golden age of this music (the 1960’s – 1980’s).
Presented by City of Miami Beach, OnStage! features live performances and temporary art installations featured in Miami Beach parks and public spaces throughout the city.
