Miamibloco in Partnership with Contemporanea Brazil and Contemporanea Americas present : Mestre Pato Irie Samba Reggae Community workshop. All levels welcome. No experience or instruments required.

Our workshops are a GREAT way to get your feet wet in the world of Samba drumming. Under the direction of Brian Potts, MDA, you'll learn exactly how to fit into the thunderous sound of Miamibloco.

This March 21st we will be working on Samba Reggae style and adaptations with Mestre Pato Irie Martinez. We provide the drums, and no matter your experience level, we've got a spot for you.
Workshop participants will be working towards a performance on May 30th to share the party with the community ON STAGE!

Not ready to drum? Come out and dance with Hamida, the Queen on the Bateria!

Stay around until 9pm to watch and dance along our official Bateria Rehearsal. 7:30 - 9:00 pm following the workshop.
